Dear Parent/Guardian:

In an effort to continue to serve our members during the Club closure, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Clifton is providing virtual programming through which Club Staff will provide activities that can be run at home or through various online platforms.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Clifton Staff will use software, tools, and applications provided by third parties that members, parents/guardians, families, and/or Volunteers will access via the Internet and use for purposes of communication and programming. These platforms include but are not limited to Facebook Groups, Zoom Video Conferencing, YouTube, Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Myfuture.net and more.

This form provides consent for your child to utilize the software platforms for web base, virtual Club program purposes. Please be aware that each application collects different information about its users and has its own privacy terms and conditions to which members must adhere.
You should review these carefully before allowing your child/children to utilize them.

In order to participate in virtual Club programming, you will need the following:

Your child must have access to a computer, tablet, smartphone, or a school-district assigned Chromebook or iPad, including access to the internet.

We will use these online applications for the following program activities:

  • We will use the Zoom video chat software platform for group video chats, sharing projects, and program discussions in the chat.
  • YouTube may be used for additional live broadcasts or to post activities and previously recorded program videos.
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Myfuture.net.
  • Additional software or third-party websites may be used to encourage participation. We will communicate any additional platforms that may be added.

Your child may need a parent/guardian to access many of these online platforms. A parent/guardian may use their own accounts instead of creating individual accounts for their child/dependent. 

Our commitment to keeping the young people we serve safe is always our number one priority. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Clifton will actively monitor member activity on Zoom, YouTube, and any other digital platform. During all virtual programs and online communications two Staff members will always participate, to ensure appropriate interactions and content.  Our staff will make every effort to protect member information by, among other things, maintaining control of, and access to, the data collected; prohibiting re-disclosure of member information; limiting the purposes for which the online platforms may use member information; ensuring there is no advertising and that no member information is collected for commercial purposes. Further, all activities online must comply with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Clifton’s safety policies.

I do hereby give my child(ren) permission to participate in the Virtual Clubhouse activities, & Girls Club of Clifton, it's employees, associates and contributors, in further consideration of the benefits to be gained by my child(ren) we covenant that we will never institute any action by law against the Boys & Girls Club of Clifton, Inc., it's agents, servants and employees, on account of any injury or other loss or damage sustained by our child's participation. In addition, I hereby consent to use, by you or anyone authorized by you, my child's photograph, any reproductions of them, or artwork & projects created my my child(ren) for editorial illustration, advertising or non-profit promotional purposes. I also consent to the use of my name in connection therewith.
